Homosexuality is the Problem
I've started this blog many times in the last day, and it's hard. I can't find the right words. I find myself simultaneously having everything to say, and yet nothing to say.
What is there TO say? The Church (and by this I mean the people IN it) are going to have a reckoning. As priests, they are charged with being the shepherd of their flock. A spiritual advisor, a father figure. To disregard that and do something so evil? The only consolation I have is that there will be repercussions for their soul. That even if justice is not brought in this life, it will most definitely be brought in another.
We of course, are discussing the issue in Pennsylvania.
As written here in a recent CNN article, we delve into the issues at hand:
A new grand jury report says that internal documents from six Catholic dioceses in Pennsylvania show that more than 300 "predator priests" have been credibly accused of sexually abusing more than 1,000 child victims.
"We believe that the real number of children whose records were lost or who were afraid ever to come forward is in the thousands," the grand jury report says.
"Priests were raping little boys and girls, and the men of God who were responsible for them not only did nothing; they hid it all. For decades. Monsignors, auxiliary bishops, bishops, archbishops, cardinals have mostly been protected; many, including some named in this report, have been promoted."

How do we fix this?
As I said in a recent tweet @MantillaGirl - it's an unpopular opinion. It's so unpopular, that I expect quite a lot of backlash for what I'm about to write. The cause, is homosexuality and it's acceptance into our Church.
"But this is a recent issue!" - you may be thinking.
Ahh, but it's not. You see, homosexuality has taken root within our clergy for quite a long time. Dating back to to the 10th century, and perhaps even further than that. Priests and their "assistants" would often be lovers, and the altar boys were threatened. While bishops, cardinals and monarchy covered for their transgressions. They were "Men of God" and to come out in numbers against them, claiming such a thing? Would've meant your own death.
2018 is convenient for them. We live in an age where homosexuality is now widely accepted, gay marriage is considered normal, and gender fluidity/transexual lifestyles are applauded. They are in their element. A grave sin, that reduced Sodom and Gomorrah to rubble - feels free to be paraded about. The rainbow, a symbol of God's promise to mankind, is now twisted into a much darker meaning. Yet, how am I daring to equate homosexuality... with pedophilia? Hang in there.
Both are sexual perversions. Homosexuality, is unnatural. An act that stops procreation and the possibility of growing faith within a family unit. A family modeled after our own Holy Family. What better way for Satan to infiltrate the Church, then using one of the prime ways to stop the growth of faith? Pedophilia is predominantly a male issue. Meaning that the offender, 96% of the time, is male. According to the National Institute for Mental Health, each offender has roughly 117 victims, with 89% of them being of the same sex as the offender. In other words, a form of homosexuality.
Now, claiming pedophilia is a sexual preference (especially in today's climate) would be dangerous. It would be like giving lighter fluid and a match, to some VERY dangerous people. However, it would be ignorant to say that it isn't a preference for children. Disgusting as it is, it's a preference.
Now, if you're allowed to have 1,000 genders, or none at all - I think we can be allowed to say that if a grown man, is attracted to a small boy - that would make him both a pedophile... AND a homosexual. Sorry, the truth hurts.
We need to clean house. The Church has needed this for a long time. We need accountability, and we need a large scale investigation into the abuses within the clergy. From the lowest, to the very top. No one is above the law, and we need to make that clear. It is up to US as the laity, to let them know.
We're not happy. This isn't okay. You won't get away with this anymore.
*Remove all homosexual priests. No one should be a priest, if they identify as homosexual.
*Have better and more thorough background checks conducted on those wishing to enter holy orders.
*If an abuse is reported, conduct an immediate investigation. If found guilty, report them. Defrock.
*Effective immediately, conduct a large scale investigation to root out all possible abusers.
You'd think this would be obvious. You'd think this would be the norm. It's not.
Satan has been working overtime. With the irreverence of Mass at an all time high, homosexual "marriage", euthanasia, assisted suicide, and abortion... we're falling further down the rabbit hole.
Does your parish hand out scapulars? Does your parish priest remind you to say the rosary as a family? Do they talk about hell? How often do you go to confession? How confident are you in defending your faith?
In the times ahead, this will be what separates the Catholics... from the demonic forces of a world gone astray. It's time to acknowledge the devil. He's here, and he's fighting. It's time we fight too.
I encourage you all to say a prayer for our holy priests, who will be attacked in the coming months purely because they wear the same cloth. I also encourage you all to pray as a family.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness & snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Signed,
The Girl in the Mantilla
